Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Cleveland, Georgia

This full-time, on-site position spans from now through May 2027, offering the chance to foster student access, inclusion, and communication across the academic environment.

As a vital communication partner, you’ll work directly with one high school student, ensuring seamless understanding and participation in classroom activities. You’ll collaborate with teachers and staff to support the student’s learning journey, and your skills will help foster a positive, inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.

Qualifications:

• Georgia Educational Interpreter/GaPSC Certification is required
• Holder of RID Certification or EIPA score of 3.5 or higher
• Previous experience interpreting in a school-based setting is preferred
• Able to commit full-time, onsite, Monday through Friday (37.5 hours per week)
• Experience working one-on-one with students is an asset

Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate, professional sign language interpretation for all classroom and school-related activities
• Support educational access by facilitating clear, effective communication between the student and staff
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards at all times
• Work proactively with educators and support staff to adapt to the student’s needs
