Locum APP Hospitalist - Daytime Coverage

Patient Population: 100% Adult Inpatient & Observation

A small, community-based hospital is seeking a Locum APP Hospitalist to provide consistent daytime coverage beginning December 2026. There is no current end date for the assignment, offering an opportunity for a provider interested in ongoing locum work.

The hospital offers a collaborative, physician-respected environment with supportive nursing staff, a collegial ED and surgical team, and a strong case management team to assist with patient discharge.

• Monday–Friday, 9 AM–6 PM

• In-person hospital coverage required during shifts

• No call

• Approximately 8–10 patients per day

• 100% adult inpatient and observation patients

• Observation, inpatient floor, and intermediate/step-down level of care

• Respond to codes and rapid responses

• Manage and stabilize critically ill patients and coordinate transfer to a tertiary-care facility when needed

• Ventilator management experience preferred

• Strong overnight hospitalist MD team for additional support

• Cerner Community Works EMR

• AI scribe support available
