Automated Machine Design Engineer (1st Shift) – Direct Hire
**Job Summary: **Local employer seeking Automated Machine Design Engineer to join their team and lead the design of custom automated equipmentfrom simple fixtures and workstations to fully integrated, complex automation systems
Responsibilities
- Design automated machines, subassemblies, and individual components using CAD software based on initial concepts
- Collaborate with commercial component suppliers to confirm product features, functionality, cost, and availability
- Support the development of concepts and design strategies for new automation projects
- Prepare cost estimates and quotations for automation proposals as needed
- Manage assigned projects, providing technical direction, feedback, and progress updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field (required)
- Computer Automated Drafting (CAD) experience is preferred, with an emphasis on 3D modeling
- Prior experience in industrial equipment design or automated machinery is preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proven problemsolving skills
