Job Title: Manufacturing Technician I

Department:Production/Operations

Reports To: Manufacturing Supervisor

Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Technician I is responsible for inspecting and packaging molded parts, ensuring adherence to quality standards, handling materials, and supporting production operations in a clean and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform visual inspections of molded parts to detect defects and quality issues
  • Remove bags of finished parts from the production line at designated fill levels
  • Package and label parts according to established procedures
  • Ensure correct sorting of parts and eliminate mixed components
  • Deliver required samples to the inspection department promptly
  • Notify inspectors immediately when visual defects are identified
  • Handle, stock, and transport materials as needed
  • Utilize computers, printers, and scanners for production and labeling tasks
  • Operate basic hand tools and carts
  • Perform lifting, walking, pushing, and pulling as required
  • Complete additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior administrative experience preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify visual defects

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to stand for approximately 7–8 hours per day
  • Walking may be required for up to 5 hours per day
  • Frequent reaching and hand/finger use
  • Occasional crouching, squatting, kneeling, bending, and twisting
  • Ability to push and pull carts or materials
  • Occasionally lift and carry 10–40 lbs. for short distances

Work Schedule & Environment:

  • Works approximately 40 hours per week, 5 days per week
  • Overtime may be required during periods of increased production
  • Two daily breaks: one 15-minute and one 20-minute
  • Clean, well-lit, and well-ventilated manufacturing environment
  • Work performed around high-speed machinery, requiring strict safety adherence
  • Required PPE includes safety glasses and earplugs; additional protective equipment may be needed depending on the work area
