Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Current certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Experience working in a school or pediatric setting, or in healthcare supporting children’s speech and language needs
- Knowledge of IEP implementation and data collection preferred
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Compassionate, patient, and eager to encourage student progress
Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed SLPs in delivering therapy sessions and implementing individualized treatment plans for students
- Support group and one-on-one interventions to foster communication and language development
- Collect data on student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Prepare therapy materials and activities tailored to students’ goals
- Participate in meetings with interdisciplinary educational teams and contribute insights on student progress
- Engage with families and teachers to help integrate speech-language strategies across school environments
