Warehouse Operations Engineer | Service Metal | St. Louis, MOPay: $72,800-$90,000/year | Full-Time | Business Hours, 8am-5pm | Onsite
Service Metal is looking for a driven and curious engineer who wants to make a real impact on warehouse operations. You'll work directly with senior leadership to improve how our warehouses operate, design smarter processes, solve real-world problems, and help to scale our operations for growth. You'll have the autonomy and project ownership to move quickly from idea to implementation and execution.
This is a full-time, onsite position based at our Corporate Headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri, with up to 25% travel to Service Metal warehouse locations.
What You'll Do
- Identify and lead initiatives that improve safety, accuracy, and productivity across our warehouse network
- Develop and standardize best practices across all warehouse locations to ensure consistency and scalability
- Help design and optimize warehouse layouts, expansions, and new facilities
- Collaborate with Operations, IT, and cross-functional teams to identify, test, and implement software and ERP improvements
- Analyze data to identify inefficiencies, reduce waste, and improve overall warehouse performance and cost structure
- Oversee and coordinate warehouse improvement projects
- Promote a safety-first mindset in all process improvements and operational changes
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, or related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams)
