You'll work alongside experienced inspectors, project managers, and engineering professionals while gaining hands-on exposure to roadway construction, materials testing, quality assurance, and transportation infrastructure projects.

• Perform construction inspections on roadway, highway, and transportation projects
• Monitor contractor work to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications
• Conduct asphalt, concrete, and density testing
• Complete daily reports, documentation, and project records
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and project stakeholders
• Observe construction activities and identify quality concerns
• Promote safety and quality standards on active job sites
• Travel to project locations throughout North Carolina as needed

• 1-3 years of construction inspection, materials testing, engineering technician, or related field experience
• Experience working on roadway, highway, civil, or transportation projects preferred
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Ability to work outdoors and remain active in field environments
• Desire to develop technical expertise and grow within the transportation industry

• NCDOT QMS Roadway Certification
• NCDOT Density Gauge Certification
• NCDOT Conventional Density Certification
• Asphalt, concrete, or earthwork inspection experience
• Construction Materials Testing (CMT) experience
• Familiarity with NCDOT standards and specifications

This is a Contract position based out of Raleigh, NC.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
