DAILY WORK:

Standard hours are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday.

Our Behavioral Health Provider works with psychiatrists, primary care providers, and medical case managers to appropriately assess and treat a wide range of psychological, psycho-social, and substance use disorders. You'll help ensure patients receive the compassionate, competent care they deserve to ease chronic pain, treat chronic disorders, and address related psycho-social issues. This starts with effective psychopharmacological consultations, and you'll work with care providers and train clinic staff to support thorough behavioral health consultations.

You'll provide behavioral health screenings/evaluations and triage needs to determine the appropriate level of care. Depending on the patient's needs, you'll implement evidence-based therapeutic methods, including cognitive behavior therapy, and complete interventions as needed (crisis, behavioral health, and group interventions). You'll deliver quality education and support to patients and their families, provide ad-hoc counseling, and coordinate referrals for relevant community resources. To support continuous improvement, you'll develop efficient new procedures, maintain accurate patient case records, and help evaluate program effectiveness. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the behavioral health director.

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PROVIDER QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current California clinical social worker (LCSW), psychologist, or professional clinical counselor (LPCC) licensure
• Master's degree in social work or social welfare OR a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology
• Ability to complete required physical responsibilities typical of a medical, clinical, or administrative office environment (using a computer/keyboard, sitting/walking/standing for extended periods, lifting up to 25 lbs., etc.)
• Ability to travel to work sites as assigned, be exposed to various temperature conditions and potentially dangerous situations, and follow all safety precautions/wear protective equipment

Preference is given to applicants with at least 1 year of directly related experience in a field such as primary care consultation, behavioral medicine, or health psychology. Experience working in public/community health settings serving low-income multicultural populations is highly valuable. Bilingual communication skills (ideally English/Spanish) are also desired but not necessary.

• Experience-based salary of $92,200 - $123,338/year
