Job Summary :

Client is seeking a highly organized and analytical Transportation Management Specialist to support transportation and logistics operations at the BMW Plant Spartanburg.

This role will focus heavily on Excel-based reporting, operational data analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis. The ideal candidate will have strong transportation, logistics, or supply chain experience combined with advanced Excel skills and strong communication and presentation abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support departmental budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Compile and analyze operational data to determine departmental needs and daily costs.
  • Prepare and submit budget-related information and forecasts.
  • Use Microsoft Excel extensively for reporting, budgeting, data analysis, and cost tracking.
  • Prepare professional presentations and reports using PowerPoint.
  • Support KPI tracking, reporting, and operational analysis.
  • Work with transportation and logistics data to identify trends and support business decisions.
  • Communicate findings and information effectively to management and team members.
  • SAP training may be provided; however, the primary focus of the role will be Excel-based reporting and financial/operational analysis.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Excel, including:
    • Pivot Tables
    • Macros/VBA
    • Data analysis and reporting
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and the ability to create professional presentations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with operational data, reporting, budgeting, or forecasting.
  • Ability and willingness to work 100% onsite at BMW Plant Spartanburg.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Power BI for KPI tracking, dashboards, reporting, and data analysis.
  • Experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Experience with transportation costs, operational budgets, or financial analysis.
