Field Service Validation and Calibration Technician

Job Title: Field Service Validation and Calibration Technician Location: Dallas, Texas Type: Direct Hire Compensation: $60,000 - $65,000 Hours: M-F Full Time

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, IQ/OQ validations, troubleshooting, and repairs on laboratory instruments such as Density Meters, Refractometers, Polarimeters, Saccharimeters, and Automation solutions.
• Diagnose technical issues and implement effective solutions.
• Provide technical training and customer support during onsite visits, via email, and phone.
• Complete and submit IQ/OQ documentation accurately and in compliance with SOPs.
• Read and interpret wiring schematics; perform system interconnections.
• Manage travel schedules efficiently and submit expense reports promptly.
• Build strong customer relationships and promote preventive maintenance agreements.
• Provide after-hours phone support on a rotating basis.
• Assist with on-site support for Production and Quality Assurance as needed.
• Manage service tool inventory and prepare documentation for customer site visits.
• Prospect customers for new or renewed Preventive Maintenance Agreements.

Requirements

• Technical degree or certification in electronics (Analog/Digital Circuits a plus) or equivalent experience.
• Background in calibration, validation, or QC of analytical instrumentation.
• Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment.
• Skilled in using hand tools, including digital multimeters.
• Proficient in reading wiring schematics and using MS Office.
• 2+ years of field service experience with proven ability to travel extensively.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.

Travel Requirements Enjoy the chance to travel nationwide, meet diverse clients, and work on advanced instrumentation in various settings. 75–90% travel across the continental U.S., including overnight stays. Comfortable with airports and air travel.

Physical Requirements Lift up to 40 lbs. individually or 80 lbs. with assistance. Stand for 2–6 hours per day. Drive up to 6 hours to appointments.
