Summary
As an Operations Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring smooth production flow, accurate scheduling, and timely order fulfillment. You will act as the bridge between production, materials, scheduling, and shipping teams, identifying bottlenecks and communicating effectively to maintain operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Production Team to plan output and review build schedules.
- Support production scheduling for secondary manufacturing sites as needed.
- Run SyteLine (ERP) system reports across all product lines to identify part shortages and flag exception messages to procurement for immediate action to ensure priorities are met and production downtime is minimized.
- Partner closely with Procurement to communicate and expedite material shortages identified through ERP reporting and manual review.
- Attend daily Tier 2 production meetings with Leads and Supervisors.
- Collect daily/weekly data from production line boards and compile into a central reporting system.
- Communicate issues from the production line to materials and planning teams.
- Assist scheduling with tracking on-time delivery (OTD) performance and investigating root causes of delayed sales orders, providing updates to stakeholders.
- Conduct Clear to Build and Critical BOM Path reviews to ensure there are no material shortages before the production line gets to a build.
- Evaluate and update Planning BOMs (Bills of Materials) on a monthly basis, using demand and performance reports to true up forecasted material usage, in coordination with the Scheduler, who updates Planning BOM’s within SyteLine.
- Generate and distribute planning reports for Buyers and Production to support daily execution.
- Assist with KPI data collection and presentation.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 3+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, supply chain, or a related function, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including lookups, PivotTables, and similar data analysis functionality.
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methods.
- Experience using AI tools.
Location:Longmont, CO
Schedule:Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3:30pm
Base Compensation: $27 - $36is the projected hourly wage for this role and will be determined on the candidate’s overall qualifications and experience.
Bonus:This position is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
