Rework Specialist/Soldering

Key Responsibilities

Inspection & Sorting: Examine raw materials, in-process components, or finished

products for defects, dimensional inaccuracies, or visual flaws using defined inspection

criteria.

Rework & Repair: Perform necessary manual or mechanical rework, adjustments,

soldering, assembly/disassembly, or component replacements according to standard

operating procedures (SOPs).

Quality Documentation: Accurately log test results, defect counts, rework actions, and

scrap metrics in the Quality Management System (QMS) or Enterprise Resource Planning

(ERP) database.

Tool & Equipment Operation: Safely use precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers,

calipers, gauges), hand tools, power tools, and specialized testing equipment.

Root Cause Support: Assist Supplier Development engineers and production teams in

identifying recurring defect patterns and determining root causes.

Material Handling: Isolate non-conforming product batches to prevent mix-ups and

ensure proper quarantine labeling and movement.

Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines, personal protective equipment

(PPE) requirements, and standard housekeeping protocols (5S).
