Job Description
Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to support its Mebane Patient Service Center. This person will perform blood collections across all age groups, including pediatric patients, while providing strong customer service in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be reliable, efficient, comfortable with computers, and able to maintain accuracy while moving quickly.
Day-to-Day
- Perform venipuncture and capillary collections for patients of all ages
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol testing, and other services
- Prepare specimens for testing and analysis
- Enter patient information accurately and efficiently
- Process billing information and collect payments when required
- Maintain patient and specimen logs
- Provide excellent customer service
- Complete administrative and clerical duties
- Travel to additional sites if needed
Must-Haves
- High school diploma or GED
- Phlebotomy certification, completed phlebotomy training program, or at least 3 months of phlebotomy experience
- Approximately 1 year of total phlebotomy experience preferred
- 6 months to 1 year of pediatric phlebotomy experience preferred
- Strong attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work quickly
- Comfortable with data entry, email, and basic computer tasks
- Reliable transportation
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be able to pass a standardized color blindness test
