Overview

This team is building anext-generation distributed cable network architectureto deliver faster speeds and increased bandwidth using virtualization.

We are seeking aNetwork OperationsEngineer IIto supportvCMTS(virtual CMTS) and RPHY deploymentsacross a nationwide network. This role combinessystems and networking expertiseto support critical infrastructure in a high-availability environment.

Key Responsibilities

• SupportvCMTSplatform setup, system installation, and network maintenance

• Executesystem upgrades, change management, and automation scripting

• Monitor systems and performincident mitigationin a 24/7 environment

• Identify recurring issues and partner with engineering teams onlong-term solutions

• Troubleshootnetwork, server, and application issues

• Develop and maintainautomation scripts (Python, Bash)

• Collaborate with product and project teams todeploy and operationalize new solutions

• Participate in anon-call rotation
  

Required Qualifications

• ~3+ years of experience in a24x7 production operations environment

• Strong understanding of:

  • Networking fundamentals (critical)– troubleshooting & configuration

  • Linux/Unix systems administration

  • Scripting (Python, Bash)

• Experience troubleshootingserver hardware and software issues

• Hands-on experience withnetworking devices (Cisco, Juniper, Arista)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience withKubernetes, Jenkins, Ansible, Git

• Exposure toautomation, monitoring, and service management tools

• Certifications such asCCNA or JNCIA

• Experience withnew product integration or large-scale deployments
