A precision manufacturing company in Denver, CO is seeking an Quality Inspector to join its manufacturing team.

The Quality Inspector performs routine dimensional and visual inspections of machined parts under the guidance of senior inspectors. This position emphasizes learning inspection techniques, blueprint interpretation, AS9100 requirements, and proper documentation while ensuring products meet customer and internal quality standards.

This is a foundational quality role within a precision manufacturing environment and provides an opportunity to develop skills in dimensional inspection, GD&T, engineering drawings, and aerospace-quality standards.

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections using basic measurement tools, including:

  • Calipers

  • Micrometers

  • Height gauges

  • Thread gauges

  • Plug gauges

  • Ring gauges

  • Indicators

• Verify that parts conform to specified dimensions, surface-quality requirements, and visual standards.

• Conduct first-article, in-process, and final inspections under supervision.

• Inspect parts according to engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.

• Accurately record inspection results in ERP/MES systems.

• Maintain proper product traceability and inspection documentation.

• Verify part identification, revision levels, certifications, and traveler documentation for accuracy and completeness.

• Identify nonconforming materials or parts.

• Promptly notify Quality leadership when discrepancies are identified.

• Support the documentation and disposition process for nonconforming products.

• Maintain awareness of inspection-tool calibration requirements.

• Properly store and handle inspection equipment.

• Follow applicable AS9100 procedures and quality requirements.

• Follow work instructions, company quality policies, and established inspection procedures.

• Maintain organized inspection areas, tools, and equipment.

• Follow workplace safety protocols and maintain a clean, efficient work environment.

• Develop knowledge of GD&T principles and advanced inspection techniques.

• Support quality-team efforts to improve inspection accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.

• Provide feedback and consistently follow established procedures.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• 0-2 years of manufacturing or inspection experience preferred.

• Basic mathematical skills.

• Ability to interpret simple engineering drawings.

• Willingness to learn GD&T principles and advanced inspection techniques.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Strong accuracy and documentation skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment.

• Experience with Mastercam - 3 years required.

• Familiarity with dimensional inspection equipment and manufacturing processes is beneficial.

• Knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T, or quality-management systems is a plus.

• Ability to lift and handle parts and inspection tools weighing up to 25 lbs.

• Ability to stand, bend, and reach during inspection activities.

• Dexterity to precisely manipulate measurement tools and small parts.

• Sufficient visual acuity to inspect parts and read measurement instruments.

• Ability to work in a clean, organized environment while following safety procedures.
