Position Overview

Join an impactful federal mission as a Legal Operations Supervisor supporting a newly established National Fraud Division within the Department of Justice (DOJ) this6-month temp-to-perm opportunity offers a direct path to a long-term career in federal legal support.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Supervisory Clerical Professional to support the U.S. Department of Justice Fraud Enforcement Division (FRD) in Washington, DC. The successful candidate will oversee a document production and service center responsible for high-volume scanning, printing, binding, and litigation support operations.

This role requires a hands-on supervisor with strong leadership skills, experience managing clerical operations, and the ability to coordinate staff, equipment, and workflow in a fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise clerical personnel performing document production and administrative support functions.
  • Manage a service center responsible for high-volume scanning and printing operations.
  • Monitor workflow, productivity, and quality control to ensure timely delivery of work products.
  • Track progress of clerical activities and provide status updates to management.
  • Oversee document retrieval, photocopying, courier services, and related support activities.
  • Operate and supervise the use of high-capacity Canon or Xerox scanning and printing equipment.
  • Coordinate maintenance and service calls for office equipment.
  • Manage inventory of paper, toner, binders, tabs, labels, clips, and other supplies.
  • Assemble, label, and bind legal exhibits and demonstratives.
  • Perform light maintenance and troubleshooting of production equipment.
  • Support scanning volumes of up to 12,000 pages per week and printing volumes of up to 15,000 pages per week.

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments, take initiative and manage work for several team members simultaneously.
  • Proficiency operating office technology including:
    • Computers and Microsoft Office applications
    • Printers and photocopiers
    • Scanners
    • Fax systems
    • Binding and document production equipment
  • Strong typing and keyboarding skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and follow detailed instructions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior supervisory or team lead experience.
  • Experience supporting litigation, legal, or records-management environments.
  • Experience with automated litigation support systems.
  • Experience working in a Windows-based office automation environment such as JCON.
  • Trial support experience.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree.

Schedule

  • Base Period Nov 14 (estimated) May 31, 202
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week.
  • Work schedule between 7:30 AM and 6:00 PM Eastern Time.
  • Occasional overtime may be required to support active litigation and time-sensitive projects.

Work Location

This position is performed on-site in Washington, DC, primarily supporting Department of Justice facilities.

Security Screening Requirements

Candidates selected for consideration must successfully complete a subcontractor prescreen process, which includes:

  • Background screening
  • Public Trust suitability review
  • Soft credit review
  • Verification of U.S. residency requirements
