Apex is currently looking for the right individual to begin their career with Apex and grow with us. This is an entry level position.
Job Overview:
- Examine contents of all packages and compare with records, such as packing slips, manifests, invoices or orders to verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments
- Receive, Pick and Pack through P21 System
- Distribute parts to various departments
- Pack, seal and label material to ship standard UPS packages in a timely manner
- Freight shipments to be skidded, wrapped, bound
- Contact carrier representatives to issue instructions for shipping of larger items
- Keep shipping and receiving area in order and clean at the end of every day
- Unload and load trucks via forklift
- Inventory Control – including weekly cycle counts, organizing product, P21 bin adjustment and maintenance, etc.
- Maintenance of Forklifts
- Maintenance of Floor Scrubber
- Continually looking for better business processes to improve current standard processes or to provide excellent customer support
- Provide assistance to other employees in a courteous and professional manner as required
- Assist with any other projects as needed to better serve customers and fellow team members
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must have a valid and current Illinois Driver’s License through employment
- Must be Dependable & Prompt
