Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for an Interventional Radiology / Cardiac Cath Lab position. The RN will provide comprehensive patient care and clinical support before, during, and after interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Prepare and monitor patients before, during, and after procedures.
- Assist physicians and the procedural team during invasive procedures.
- Perform central venous access and maintenance.
- Provide PICC-line care and maintenance.
- Support diagnostic cardiac catheterizations and cardiac catheterization interventions.
- Perform and monitor hemodynamic assessments.
- Support pacemaker-related procedures.
- Assist with peripheral vascular procedures and interventions.
- Support angiography and vascular intervention procedures.
- Provide care related to procedures involving vascular, genitourinary, gastrointestinal, neurological, and cardiac systems.
- Monitor patient condition and respond appropriately to changes during procedures.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow established safety and infection-control standards.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Compact RN license must be active/in hand at submission.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant Interventional Radiology / Cath Lab experience.
- AHA BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification required; California-specific ACLS credential must be in hand at submission where applicable.
- Ability to work scheduled shifts and participate in required call rotation.
- COVID-19 and influenza vaccination requirements may apply.
- Strong clinical, communication, and patient-care skills.
