1st Shift Direct Hire Material Handler
Location: Kearny, NJ
Shift: 1st Shift 7:00am - 3:30pm
Pay: $23–$25/hour based on experience

Kelly®is seeking aMaterial Handlers to work with a premier manufacturing client in Kearny, NJ.

The Material Handler is responsible for the packing, loading, unloading, movement, and distribution of materials throughout the warehouse and manufacturing operation. The role also supports order fulfillment, shipping preparation, inventory movement, and basic computer data entry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Fill orders and package materials and finished products.
  • Load and unload incoming materials from trucks.
  • Move incoming freight to appropriate departments.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material-handling equipment.
  • Prepare and package finished goods for shipment.
  • Operate computer terminals to enter production or warehouse information.
  • Prepare shipping and export-related documentation as required.
  • Organize and stage materials for production or shipment.
  • Support shipping of trade-show or demonstration materials when required.
  • Maintain accurate handling and movement of materials.
  • Follow environmental, safety, and quality policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and work area.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Basic computer and data-entry skills.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Previous warehouse or material-handling experience preferred.
  • Forklift experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds as required by the position.
