Ken’s Quality Auto Repair is looking for an experienced, customer-focusedAutomotive Service Advisorto join our team in Thousand Oaks.

We are a small, family owned independent repair shop specializing in Toyota and Lexus, with Honda and Acura being added to our specialty focus. We take pride in providing high-quality automotive repair, honest recommendations, and excellent customer service. We’re looking for a Service Advisor who shares those values.

The Position

As our Service Advisor, you’ll be the primary point of contact between our customers and technicians. Your job is to make sure customers feel informed, respected, and confident in the service they receive while helping the shop operate efficiently and profitably.

This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with people, understands automotive repair, communicates well, and takes pride in creating an excellent customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide a friendly, professional experience from start to finish
• Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle symptoms and service requests
• Prepare and present repair estimates and maintenance recommendations
• Clearly explain recommended repairs and maintenance in terms customers can understand
• Communicate with technicians regarding inspections, diagnostics, repair priorities, and timelines
• Keep customers updated on the status of their vehicles throughout the repair process
• Obtain customer authorization for repairs and document approvals
• Schedule appointments and help manage the daily workflow of the shop
• Review completed repair orders for accuracy before vehicle delivery
• Follow up with customers when appropriate
• Build long-term customer relationships based on trust and excellent service
• Help identify deferred maintenance and future service needs without using high-pressure sales tactics
• Work closely with the owner and technicians to keep the shop organized and running efficiently

What We’re Looking For

• Previous automotive Service Advisor or automotive repair industry experience preferred
• Good working knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Comfortable explaining repair recommendations and estimates
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple customers and repair orders at the same time
• Dependable, punctual, and professional
• Comfortable using computers and automotive shop management software
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Valid California driver’s license and clean driving record

Experience withToyota, Lexus, Honda, and Acuravehicles is a plus, but not required.
