Ground Paramedic is responsible for delivery of care to patients of the Life Flight Network (LFN). The Ground Paramedic provides patient care and safely operates ground ambulances in accordance to the guidelines and protocols of LFN. The Ground Paramedic works varied shifts and must be available to cover call shifts. The Ground Paramedic may be required to drive personal or company vehicles from time to time when business needs necessitate.

This position offers relocation assistance of up to $10,000!

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school graduate or equivalent. Minimum three years’ experience as a Paramedic, preferably in a large metropolitan area. Current licensure and/or certification as listed below:

• Paramediccertification asappropriatetoassigned location
• BasicLife Support (BLS) certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Programcertification
• Stateissueddriver’s license with aninsurable drivingrecord.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• PediatricAdvanced LifeSupport (PALS) certification
• Pre-hospitalTrauma LifeSupport (PHTLS)certification
• Must take the FP-C or CCP-C exam within one year of hire and pass within 2 years of hire
• Strongleadership skillsand abilityto communicate and workwith avarietyofpeople one-on- one and in largegroups,oftenin highlystressful situations.
• Ability to work varied shifts and cover call shifts

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

CLINICALQUALITY:

• Workstodeliverageappropriate(Pediatric, Adult, Geriatric)patient care.
• Workswithcrewmembersas neededin providing accurateandcomplete patientcare documentation per the standardsestablished byLFN.
• Assistsin providingwritten and/orverbal patient follow-up toreferringhospitalsoragencies.
• Assistswith equipment retrieval and returntoappropriateagencies.
• Workswith thecrewmembers in cleaningandrestockingequipment in atimelymanner to placean aircraftbackinservice assoon aspossible.
• Workswithcrewmembersin completinginventories andmonthlychecks,orderingsupplies and maintaining equipmentinworkingorder.
• Workswithcrewmembersin day-to-dayoperationsofLFN.
• May compile statistical data or work on related projects as assigned by the Base Manager or Director of Clinical Operations.

SAFETY: The expectations of all customers are understood and exceeded through the provision of quality services.

• Helps to ensurethesafeoperation of thevehiclesfortheprotectionofthepatient, crewmembersand personnel onthescene.
• Enforces LFN safety policies and assists ambulance operations.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT: Participates in the development of LFN business and operations plans to meet medical transport service and financial performance goals.

• Encourages afavorablepublicopinion ofLFNthroughpersonalcontactwith patients,community agenciesand hospitals.
• Provides education to the public as requested.
