What You Will Handle

The General Laborer / Helper supports the entire remodeling team and helps keep projects moving safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities may include:

•Bathroom demolition and tear-out

•Removing flooring, tile, drywall, fixtures, cabinets, and other materials

•Hauling and disposing of debris

•Loading and unloading materials

•Moving tools and equipment

•Preparing work areas

•Protecting floors, walls, and surrounding areas

•Jobsite cleanup

•Assisting carpenters, plumbers, tile setters, and other trades

•Mixing materials

•Measuring and marking materials

•Basic tool operation

•Maintaining a clean and organized jobsite

•Learning new skills from experienced team members

•Following safety procedures and instructions

Advancement

This position is the starting point for individuals who want to develop a career in remodeling.

A successful helper will have the opportunity to learn carpentry, tile, plumbing, installation, finishing, and other remodeling skills.
