Software Engineers

Maximum Technology is an innovative technology small business with our Corporate Headquarters located in Huntsville, AL. Our focus is on providing our Department of Defense (DoD) customers with efficient, cost-effective, innovative solutions in the areas of data management, software engineering, system engineering, test and evaluation support, information technology, and information system security. We also provide administration support, event planning and management services to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

We are seeking Software Engineers to provide technical expertise for software development and sustainment of DoD systems, subsystems and components. Software activities consist of architecture evaluation, code inspection, process and standards management, testing oversight, and change request management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Expected to mentor and direct a team of software engineers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for interpreting requirements
• Write, debug, maintain and test software for a variety of different projects across multiple platforms
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in a computer-related field
• Six (6) years of related experience
• Knowledge and ability in a variety of software engineering principles and concepts
• Ability to work independently and act as a team lead
• Ability to interface with stakeholders, perform management functions, and develop requisite reports
• Experience working with Agile methodology and Jira project management tool.

PREFERREED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's Degree in a computer related field

• Continuous mental and visual attention, requiring constant alertness or activity
• Occasional standing and walking
• Prolonged periods of sitting in front of a computer screen, using hands and fingers
