Upholstery trainees will learn the process of building a quality product on a training line by following specific instruction sheets and utilizing proper upholstery techniques. Upholstery trainees will be trained on proper use of upholstering tools, including staple guns, scissors, air drivers, hammers, and mallets to attach the cover to the frame.
Job Duties:
- Inspect raw materials prior to performing operations to ensure proper quality standards and alert the supervisor to any substandard raw materials or prior operations
- Learn the appropriate and efficient way to use staple guns, scissors, air drivers, hammers, mallets, or other tools to attach cover, mechanisms, and springs to frame parts
- Learn to follow appropriate specifications to produce high quality products
- Learn to correct any substandard, off-quality work that they produce
- Learn appropriate equipment maintenance, as well as preventative maintenance
- Learn the necessary skills to achieve 100% efficiency
- Adhere to all company policies and promote safety in the workplace by following all company safety rules
- Promote goodwill and a positive company image to fellow employees and the community
- Maintain a clean workspace
- Perform other duties as required by the supervisor
Attendance Incentive Rate: $1.44/hr
