General Laborer

IMMEDIATELY HIRING: Concrete Manufacturing Plant Laborer in SPRING CITY, PA *WEEKLY PAY with ADDED ATTENDANCE BONUS*

Looking for a hands-on role with steady hours and long-term potential? Join a leading concrete manufacturing facility that produces custom precast products for utility companies and highway infrastructure projects. As a laborer, you'll support the production of precast concrete products by assisting with form setup, material preparation, concrete pouring, finishing, and general manufacturing duties in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Strip concrete castings from all forms.
• Clean and remove damaged materials from forms prior to setup.
• Reset pallets and cores according to approved shop drawings.
• Build styrofoam and/or wood block outs.
• Assemble basic wood forms.
• Install proper cage with correct coverages and required cast.
• Cast, vibrate, and finish fresh concrete.
• Set up standard forms, slabs, GTE, overbuilds, or other special forms.
• Adjust and change over adjustable forms as necessary.

Essential Skills

• Heavy lifting capability up to 75 lbs.
• Experience working with concrete before - even just a little exposure works!
• Forklift operating experience.
• Ability to read and interpret shop and steel design drawings.
• Basic math skills including adding, subtracting, and handling fractions.
• Physical stamina for bending, climbing, and lifting.
• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Knowledge in concrete, construction, or landscaping.

Work Environment

The work environment is similar to an indoor construction site, older, loud, and sometimes dark and dirty. Work hours are from 5am-1pm Monday through Friday. Employees are exposed to high places, outside weather conditions, and occasionally wet or humid environments. Steel toe work boots and long work pants are recommended.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of SPRING CITY, PA.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
