Job Title: 2nd Shift Shipping & Receiving Supervisor
Job Description
The 2nd Shift Shipping & Receiving Supervisor oversees daily inbound and outbound material shipments and provides hands-on leadership for the shipping team and warehouse on 2nd shift. This role ensures sales orders are shipped on time and in full, maintains accurate inventory and shipping metrics, and drives effective communication between shifts and with other departments. The supervisor is responsible for team performance, process compliance, and continuous improvement of shipping operations in a unionized, metal manufacturing environment.

Work Environment
This role is based in a manufacturing and warehouse setting on 2nd shift, typically from around 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with some flexibility to start slightly earlier than the standard 3:00 p.m. shift. Overtime is currently voluntary but may be mandated when operational needs require it. The primary work location is a production facility in Madison, WI, with occasional visits to a nearby site approximately 10 minutes away to support and check in on another crew.
The work environment includes regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and vibration. Noise levels are usually loud, consistent with metal manufacturing operations. Employees work in a fairly clean facility for metal manufacturing and must follow established safety practices at all times. Required attire includes safety eyewear with side shields, safety steel-toed shoes, and safety gloves and sleeves when handling sharp parts. The role is predominantly on the warehouse floor and shipping area, using equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, RF scanners, and ERP systems to manage shipping, receiving, and inventory activitie

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $62000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
