Job Description

The General Laborer supports day-to-day operations by safely moving pipe, cleaning and organizing materials in the shop, and performing a variety of additional general duties as needed in a construction-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely move and handle pipe and related materials throughout the facility and designated work areas.
• Clean up and organize materials in the shop to maintain a safe, efficient, and clutter-free workspace.
• Assist with general labor tasks in support of construction and operational activities as needed.
• Use hand tools and power tools as directed to complete assigned tasks.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including proper use of required protective equipment.
• Support both indoor and outdoor work activities around the space center as directed by supervision.
• Communicate clearly with team members to coordinate work and ensure tasks are completed on time.
• Adapt to changing priorities and take on additional duties as required to support daily operations.

Essential Skills

• Ability to safely move and handle pipe and other materials.
• Experience performing general labor duties in a construction or industrial environment.
• Capability to clean and organize materials and work areas effectively.
• Comfort using basic hand tools.
• Ability to operate or work around power tools under proper supervision.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work 10-hour days, Monday through Friday, from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Possession of steel-toe footwear suitable for industrial and construction environments.
• Ability to provide two forms of identification for site badging and access requirements.
• Physical ability to work both indoors and outdoors for extended periods.

Work Environment

This role is based in and around a space center, with work performed both indoors and outdoors. You will work Monday through Friday on 10-hour shifts, typically from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The environment is construction-oriented and may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, active work areas, and industrial equipment. Steel-toe footwear is required, and you must meet site badging requirements, including providing two forms of identification. Work involves regular use of hand tools and power tools, as well as frequent movement of pipe and other materials in shop and yard areas.

This is a Contract position based out of Webster, TX.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
