Earthwork Project Manager - Northern Virginia

A well-established heavy civil contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee earthwork, grading, and site development projects. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in mass excavation, site balancing, and civil construction operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage earthwork and site development projects from preconstruction through completion
- Oversee budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and procurement
- Coordinate closely with Superintendents and field teams
- Track project costs, production, change orders, and overall project performance
- Review plans, specifications, and grading plans
- Interface with owners, engineers, inspectors, and project stakeholders
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, or Superintendent in heavy civil construction
- Strong background in earthwork, grading, excavation, and site development
- Experience with public works or infrastructure projects is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and specifications
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Experience with project management and cost tracking software preferred
