We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Assistant- Administration to support daily academic and administrative operations for an education-focused organization in Roxbury, Massachusetts. This Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys assisting students, coordinating office activities, and delivering responsive service to a wide range of campus stakeholders. The person in this role will help keep processes organized, maintain accurate information, and contribute to a welcoming and efficient office environment.

Responsibilities:
• Guide students through registrar-related paperwork and help ensure forms are completed accurately and submitted on time.
• Provide responsive front-line support to students, faculty, staff, administrators, and other members of the college community.
• Contribute to the planning and execution of institutional activities such as registration periods, commencement, and other campus events.
• Monitor office and departmental supply levels, place replenishment orders, and keep inventory organized for ongoing operations.
• Welcome visitors, support student inquiries in person, and help maintain a tidy, welcoming, and student-friendly office setting.
• Coordinate calendars and arrange meetings, including scheduling details and related administrative follow-up.
• Revise office documents and refresh website content when updates are needed to keep information current and accurate.
• Support course enrollment activities, process transcript requests for printing and mailing, and assist with verification and diploma-related inquiries.• At least 1 year of experience in administrative support, office coordination, or customer-facing assistance.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups in a detail-focused setting.
• Experience handling documentation, filing, and routine clerical tasks with a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities at once while staying organized and meeting deadlines.
• Proficiency with standard office tools and comfort learning department-specific forms and processes.
• Strong attention to detail when working with student records, requests, and administrative materials.
• Background in administrative assistance within an education-related environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with biology or laboratory-based academic settings can be helpful but is not required.
