Position Description
We areseeking a self-motivated, results-driven Sales Engineer to join our growing organization. This Sales Engineer positionis reportedto the Southeast Regional Sales Director and is based in Atlanta. The individual selected for this role will be taking over a well-established group of customers from a Sales Engineer who is transitioning to a new role within the organization. These customers still have tremendousopportunitiesto grow due to new productswecontinueto develop which address challenges our customers are facing. The individual will also be responsible for developing new customers in their region. Your relationship skills, strong business acumen, and technical expertise will be paramount in working with automation machine builders and manufacturing plants across the region to define process improvements that improve their bottom-line results.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Engage with existing customers and potential customers to learn about their business, the products they make, and the initiatives they have for improvement.
  • Implement a sales process that clearly defines the customer's challenge and their concept for a solution.
  • Identify the customer’s decision-making process and key stakeholders involved in a sale.
  • Leverage technicalproductsand application knowledge to providehigh-qualitysolutions to automation challenges.
  • Effectively use both phone and MS Teams to communicate with customers.
  • Conduct in-person meetings to introduce new technologies, solve applications or present solutions that address an operational challenge presented by the customer.
  • Work in a team-selling environment to leverage expertise across the organization.
  • Energetically approach new business and prospecting to develop future growth.
  • Continuously learn automation industry trends and solutions that relate to those trends.
  • Position largely measured on sales and new customer growth.
Candidate Requirements:
  • 3 to 7 years of related technical sales experience preferred.
  • Engineering or Business degree preferred.
  • Industrial automation experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels within an organization.
  • Ability to sell in remote or face-to-face situations.
  • Attention to detail; ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-disciplined with a high sense of urgency to be a collaborative business partner.
  • Ability to work with various teams as well as independently.
