Position Summary
We areseekinga skilled and dependable Fleet Mechanic to join our team. The Fleet Mechanicis responsible forinspecting, diagnosing, repairing, andmaintaininga fleet of vehicles and equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
- Repair and replace engines, transmissions, brakes, steering systems, suspensions, and other components.
- Upfit new vehicles with accessory upgrades.
- Perform DOT vehicle and trailer inspections
- Conduct vehicle inspections and document maintenance activities.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment toidentifyand resolve problems.
- Ensure all repairscomply withcompany standards and safety regulations.
- Maintainaccuratemaintenance and repair records.
- Respond to road calls and emergency repairs as needed.
- Manage parts inventory and communicate parts requirements.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of experience as a fleet, diesel, automotive, or heavy equipment mechanic.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge ofmodernvehicle repair, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and repair procedures.
- Strong electrical diagnostic skills
- Ability tolift upto 50 pounds and work in varying environmental conditions.
Preferred
- ASE Certifications or equivalent technical certifications.
- CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
- Experience workingoncommercial vehiclesand off highway diesel equipment
- Welding and fabrication experience.
