Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Compensation: $75–$85/hour, based on experience

Position Overview

A community pharmacy in Southwest Kansas is seeking a full-time Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to oversee daily pharmacy operations while also working directly as a pharmacist.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced community pharmacist looking to step into a leadership role, or for an existing PIC seeking a stable Monday–Friday schedule with a strong compensation package.

Pharmacy Overview
Community/retail pharmacy
Approximately 100–150 prescriptions per day
Current team includes 2 Pharmacy Technicians, with plans to add a 3rd
Pharmacy software: Liberty
340B covered-entity retail pharmacy
Full-time leadership position

Key Responsibilities
Serve as the Pharmacist-in-Charge and oversee daily pharmacy operations
Supervise pharmacists, PRN/contract pharmacists, technicians, and support staff
Verify prescriptions, dispense medications, and provide patient counseling
Ensure compliance with Kansas Board of Pharmacy, DEA, FDA, HIPAA, controlled-substance, and other applicable regulations
Oversee 340B pharmacy operations and compliance
Manage pharmacy inventory, controlled-substance records, wholesalers, and PSAO/PBM relationships
Maintain pharmacy policies, procedures, quality standards, and audit readiness
Support a positive, collaborative pharmacy environment

Requirements
PharmD or Bachelor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited program
Active, unrestricted Kansas Pharmacist license
Eligible to serve as a PIC in Kansas
1–2 years of retail/community pharmacy experience preferred
Previous PIC, supervisory, or lead experience preferred, but not required
340B experience preferred, but not required
Willingness to obtain Oklahoma licensure/registration for applicable cross-border dispensing
BLS/AED certification upon hire or ability to obtain within 60 days
