Top Must-Haves:
- 5+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience in a variety of operational/scientific roles or equivalent
- Experience designing and leading complex projects comprised of virtual team members of diverse styles, driving to successful outcomes with and without direct management responsibilities.
- Experience in developing and implementing processes and systems designed to simplify operational infrastructure, including experience with necessary change management skills needed to embed change.
- Experienced in developing and implementing agile, creative solutions, utilizing direct and indirect resources, to solve business challenges within the line organization, across the company, and in partnership with external collaborators.
- Thorough understanding of clinical data management and specimen acquisition and logistics practices with experience designing end-to-end workflows for optimized, repeatable execution.
- Works with a sense of urgency and experience managing multiple projects, building structure from ambiguity and helping teams to develop priorities.
- Drives effective contract/fiscal management of project activities; experienced with the development of business cases for options based decision-making and effective vendor management for externally contracted work.
Overview
- The Translational Development Project Management role is a highly collaborative position responsible for driving operational execution and coordination across translational development programs.
- This individual serves as a key partner to scientists, asset leads, clinical teams, and external vendors to ensure the timely collection, processing, and delivery of critical study samples and data. Acting as the central point of coordination across multiple stakeholders, the Project Manager oversees project timelines, mitigates risks, manages budgets and contracts, and ensures deliverables are executed in accordance with program objectives.
Responsibilities
- Works closely with asset lead/scientists and is a partner in ensuring samples are collected and processed according to protocol
- Acts as liaison between internal and external functions, e.g., clinical, biomarker ops, and data management
- Immediately identifies issues and follows through remedial actions
- Acts as an Alliance Manager and actively manages external vendors/CROs in ensuring timely data generation and receipt
- Manages select smaller-scale projects/workstreams and drives meetings, agendas.
- Manages and communicates deadlines, risks, and escalates where appropriate
- Manages collaborative tools used within the Team including sharepoint
- Provides support to the immediate program management and ops team (as needed)
- Responsible for contracts and budgets where appropriate
Skills\Experience
- Proven experience managing large, complex projects. Prefer experience with R&D in Life Sciences
- Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbally) with both technical and non-technical parties
- Bachelor/Technical degree or equivalent required. Master's degree a plus
- PMP, or equivalent certification, strongly desired
- Experience working with Tableau or analytics projects is preferred
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders, clinical, etc.
The hourly rate for this position is between $69 -$71per hour.
