Job Description:
The client is a manufacturer of custom-designed stampings and stamped assemblies for a variety of automotive and industrial customers. We are currently looking for a detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to join our Engineering team in our Menomonee Falls Plant.

Essential Job functions/Duties:

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  • Designing control systems and production processes to maximize efficiency, reduce waste, and establish standard rates.
  • Implementation of new machines, dies, tooling, and assembly equipment.
  • Training staff for new processes and providing detailed instructions and manuals
  • Manage process documentation and prepare production reports.
  • Measure variances to standards, identify out-of-control manufacturing processes, investigate root cause, develop sustainable corrective actions, implement corrective actions, and monitor results.
  • Conduct cost comparison studies; analyze workforce utilization, facility layout, and operational data such as production costs and production routing procedures.
  • Test, observe, and visually inspect tooling used in the production process to determine and establish standard data for production processes.
  • Recommend process improvements to increase efficiencies and reduce waste of materials and utilities, and lower manufacturing costs.
  • Process all necessary documentation and maintain records of studies and recommendations for improvements.
  • Participate in new product launch process to assist in process design for cost-effective, error-free manufacturing.

Education and/or Experience:

  • B.S. Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Design Engineering
  • Experience in stamping, assembly, automation, PLC programming, welding, and machining would be a plus.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, MS Office, and AutoCAD. An understanding of GD&T would be a plus.
