We are seeking a skilled and motivated Process Control Engineer to support manufacturing operations in Morristown, TN. This position will focus on designing, programming, troubleshooting, and optimizing automated control systems to improve production efficiency, equipment reliability, and overall manufacturing performance.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with PLC programming, industrial automation, robotics, and electrical control systems in a manufacturing environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesControl Systems Design & Development
Design, develop, test, and maintain industrial control systems.
Ensure proper operation and integration of sensors, actuators, and control components.
Identify and resolve control system issues to improve equipment performance and reliability.
PLC Programming & Troubleshooting
Install, program, troubleshoot, and modify PLC hardware and software, including Allen-Bradley systems.
Diagnose electrical and automation-related equipment failures.
Review and interpret electrical schematics and control documentation.
Automation & Robotics
Troubleshoot and maintain Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), robotic systems, and automated production cells.
Diagnose automation failures and implement corrective actions.
Support integration and modification of automated manufacturing equipment.
Production Line Optimization
Provide technical support for manufacturing production lines, including e-compressor manufacturing operations.
Modify and optimize control logic to improve equipment performance.
Reduce equipment downtime, improve cycle times, and increase overall production efficiency.
Partner with manufacturing and maintenance teams to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Engineering & Project Support
Assist with the development and implementation of manufacturing equipment projects.
Prepare project cost estimates and evaluate technical requirements.
Support the preparation of capital equipment appropriation requests.
Participate in equipment upgrades, installations, and process improvement projects.
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Hands-on experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and industrial control systems.
Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs or similar industrial automation platforms.
Knowledge of electrical schematics, sensors, actuators, and industrial control components.
Experience troubleshooting HMIs, robotics, and automated production cells.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, maintenance, and production teams.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future.
Previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Experience supporting automated assembly or e-compressor manufacturing equipment.
Demonstrated success improving cycle times, reducing downtime, and optimizing manufacturing processes.
Experience supporting capital equipment projects and manufacturing automation upgrades.
