Delivery Driver – San Diego to Los Angeles
We are seeking a dependable, hardworking, and responsibleDelivery Driverto join our team in Santee.
Schedule:Monday – Friday | Start 4:00 am – END OF DELIVERIES
Route:San Diego, Orange, Los Angeles & Riverside Counties
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company vehicle, including a26-foot stake-bed truck, to make scheduled deliveries throughout San Diego, Orange, Los Angeles, and Riverside counties.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload electrical materials safely and accurately, including boxes, reels, switchgear, conduit, wire, fixtures, and other electrical supplies.
- Properly strap and tarp heavy materials to prevent shifting, damage, or loss during transportation.
- Safely unload materials at warehouses, customer locations, and active construction sites using liftgates or coordinating with on-site forklift operators when necessary.
- Verify orders and ensure all deliveries are complete, accurate, and properly documented.
- Provide friendly, professional, and exceptional customer service at every delivery.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, team members, customers, and job-site personnel.
- Perform and document daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Report vehicle maintenance or safety issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional vehicle.
- Follow all traffic laws, company safety policies, and proper material-handling procedures.
- Complete delivery paperwork and documentation accurately.
- Manage time effectively while working independently and completing daily routes and deliveries.
- The workday ends when scheduled deliveries are completed.
Qualifications
- ValidCalifornia Class C driver's licensewith a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- CDL is not required.
- At least 21 years old if required by company insurance.
- Reliable, punctual, dependable, and hardworking.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to70 pounds.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English;fluent Spanish is a plus.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic smartphone/GPS navigation skills.
- Ability to safely handle and secure heavy materials.
- Ability to pass a standard pre-employment background check and drug screening.
