Job Summary
Entry-level Quality Engineer supporting production quality in a machining/manufacturing environment. The role focuses on root cause analysis, troubleshooting, quality improvement, data analysis, and corrective actions under the guidance of senior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Support production floor quality processes including Scrap, Non-Conforming Material, Material Review Board (MRB), and Cleanliness Testing.
- Serve as a Quality contact for manufacturing areas such as machining, plating, welding, and assembly.
- Provide daily floor support to operators for product quality concerns.
- Gather and analyze quality data and drive corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
- Support quality reports and maintain automated data collection systems such as QDAS and JDAAT.
- Assist with engineering testing, inspections, standards, specifications, and process improvement.
- Support feasibility testing and validation of engineering solutions.
- Identify process/system issues and support change management initiatives.
- Coordinate with suppliers/subcontractors as required.
- Support product development, engineering projects, and customer requirements.
- Prepare/review engineering reports and documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
- Strong Root Cause Analysis and Troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of Quality Engineering, Engineering Testing, Design, Development, and Specifications.
- Ability to analyze data and identify process improvements.
- Knowledge of project schedules, risk management, and change management.
- Understanding of policies, regulations, health & safety, and quality requirements.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
Work Environment
- Production/manufacturing facility.
- Requires regular on-floor support across multiple manufacturing departments.
- Works under the guidance and review of senior engineering colleagues.
