Lean Manufacturing Cell Supervisor
Location: Thorp, WI
Shift: 2nd | Schedule: Mon–Thurs, 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM
Compensation: $72,000–$75,000 plus monthly
Your day-to-day
As the on-shift leader for a busy production area, you’ll arrive before the line starts, check the Tier/production boards, and align your team on targets for safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Throughout the evening, you’ll coach operators on lean standards, remove roadblocks, and keep throughput on pace with the Production Schedule. Before close, you’ll lock in countermeasures for any metric misses, document Tier Board updates, and prepare the team to exceed tomorrow’s goals.
What you’ll lead
- Own cell performance: translate KPIs into daily actions; keep production boards current and visible; celebrate wins and close gaps with your team.
- Lean first: run regular process audits, verify standards, and deliver hands-on training, demonstrations, and coaching on lean tools.
- People leadership: foster engagement, clarify roles and expectations, and maintain consistent two-way communication across the process team.
- Scheduling and flow: direct work in line with the Production Schedule; optimize machines, materials, and staffing to meet priorities.
- Continuous improvement: recommend method changes to reduce scrap and increase productivity; support root-cause analysis with corrective actions, owners, and due dates.
- Quality stewardship: uphold quality policies; ensure adherence to applicable documents and standards.
- Talent decisions: interview, hire, develop, recognize, and, when needed, discipline in accordance with law and company policy.
- Technical support: help employees interpret procedures and use equipment properly and safely.
