Sales Operations Coordinator

Symbiotic Services is recruiting a Sales Operations Coordinator on behalf of our client. This position provides administrative and operational support to the Sales organization, helping ensure accurate and timely execution of sales-related activities.

The Sales Operations Coordinator will support independent retailers, strategic accounts, and internal sales personnel through customer onboarding, data management, order support, reporting, and cross-functional coordination. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, responsive, and committed to providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Sales team, including support for independent retailers and strategic accounts.
  • Coordinate new customer onboarding and accurately enter and maintain customer information across multiple business systems.
  • Ensure customer account setup documentation is complete, accurate, and processed promptly.
  • Maintain customer master data, pricing, sales agreements, and other account-related information while ensuring data integrity.
  • Assist Sales Representatives with customer proposals, presentations, reports, and sales materials.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and route requests to the appropriate internal departments for timely resolution.
  • Partner with Customer Experience, Finance, Operations, Product Development, Marketing, and other departments to support customer needs.
  • Assist with order management by monitoring customer requests, tracking order status, and communicating updates.
  • Generate and distribute sales reports, customer activity reports, and other business metrics.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical customer records.
  • Assist with customer meetings, travel arrangements, trade shows, and other sales-related events.
  • Support special projects, process improvements, and administrative initiatives as assigned.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer, pricing, and company information.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Two or more years of experience in administrative support, sales support, customer service, or account coordination.
  • Experience with data entry and maintaining customer information in ERP or CRM systems.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting a B2B sales organization.
  • Experience in the furniture, manufacturing, or consumer products industry.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle or another ERP system.
  • Experience onboarding large retail or strategic customer accounts.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
  • Experience supporting trade shows, sales meetings, or customer events.

Physical & Work Requirements

The position frequently involves sitting and using standard office equipment, including computers, keyboards, and telephones, as well as communicating with internal departments and external customers by phone, email, and virtual meetings.

The role occasionally requires standing, walking, bending, moving throughout the facility, and lifting or moving materials weighing up to 25 pounds. Occasional travel may be required for business meetings or customer events.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Build and nurture relationships with trade clients and design professionals
Support outreach efforts to grow the BenchMade Modern Trade Program
Manage communication for trade accounts and assist with quotes or special requests
Coordinate trade-specific order updates and assist with swatch/sample requests
Partner with Sales and Operations to ensure accuracy and timely follow-through
What We’re Looking For:
5+ years of experience in sales, trade sales support, trade account management, or e-commerce, with a strong understanding of the furniture and design industry.
Strong communicator with excellent organizational skills
Familiar with Shopify, Zendesk, and/or Monday.com
Team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment
Passion for design, furniture, and building strong client relationships
