Position Summary
First Eagle Bank is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Universal Bankerr to join our Hanover Park and West Loop team. This role is ideal for an individual interested in building a career in banking while delivering exceptional customer service.
The Universal Banker serves as a key point of contact for customers by performing a combination of teller and personal banking responsibilities. This position requires a proactive approach to customer engagement, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to building lasting customer relationships.
Essential Duties and
ResponsibilitiesBanking Operations
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, transfers, and cash handling activities.
- Balance and maintain a cash drawer in accordance with bank policies and procedures.
- Assist customers through both lobby and drive-up banking channels.
- Adhere to security procedures, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
Customer Service
- Deliver exceptional service by identifying and responding to customer financial needs.
- Promptly and professionally answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate department or individual.
- Resolve customer issues and escalate concerns when appropriate.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and coworkers.
Sales and Relationship Building
- Identify opportunities to introduce and cross-sell bank products and services that align with customer needs.
- Educate customers on available banking solutions, including deposit accounts, digital banking services, and other financial products.
- Support branch growth initiatives through relationship-building and referral generation.
Account Support
- Assist with customer onboarding and account maintenance in accordance with bank policies and compliance requirements.
- Support Personal Bankers with account opening activities, documentation, and customer follow-up.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of all customer records and account information.
QualificationsRequired- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
- Availability to work all scheduled branch hours, including Saturdays.
Preferred
- Minimum six months of cash-handling experience.
- Minimum one year of customer service, sales, or customer-contact experience.
- Previous banking or financial services experience.
- Demonstrated ability to meet customer service and sales goals.
