School Social Worker - Brooklyn, MI

This is an exciting contract opportunity for a dynamic Social Worker interested in making a difference in the lives of students. This full-time position involves collaborating with a team of two other Social Workers and serving both a high school and an elementary school. The focus is on providing comprehensive social-emotional support and fostering a positive school environment.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) is required
• Experience working in a school setting or with children/adolescents preferred
• Strong understanding of social-emotional development and behavioral interventions
• Excellent collaboration, communication, and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide counseling and support services to students facing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
• Participate in developing and implementing intervention plans
• Conduct assessments and facilitate crisis intervention as needed
• Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success
• Serve as an active member of student support and IEP/504 teams
• Work in both a high school and an elementary school, adapting strategies to meet varying student needs
