Master Scheduler – Keltec

Position Summary

Keltec is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Master Scheduler to support our manufacturing and distribution operations. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules to ensure efficient workflow, on-time delivery, and alignment with customer demand. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and brings experience in manufacturing planning and ERP systems.

Production Planning & Scheduling

· Develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules based on demand, inventory levels, and capacity

· Coordinate with manufacturing, purchasing, and distribution teams to ensure alignment across operations

· Balance production efficiency with customer delivery requirements

· Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to address delays or changes

· Ensure optimal utilization of labor, equipment, and materials

Inventory & Demand Alignment

· Analyze demand forecasts, order trends, and inventory levels to ensure accurate planning

· Partner with procurement to ensure raw materials are available to meet production schedules

· Minimize stockouts and excess inventory through proactive planning and adjustments

· Support cycle counting and inventory accuracy initiatives

ERP & Data Management

· Maintain accurate production data, schedules, and order status in ERP system (NetSuite or similar)

· Track key planning metrics such as on-time delivery, schedule adherence, and production output

· Generate reports and provide insights to leadership on operational performance

Cross-Functional Collaboration

· Serve as a key liaison between production, customer service, purchasing, and leadership teams

· Communicate schedule changes, risks, and constraints clearly and proactively

· Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning processes and operational efficiency

Qualifications

Required

· 5+ years of production planning or scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment

· Strong organizational and analytical skills with high attention to detail

· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

· Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis

· Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred

· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience)

· Experience in a high-volume or fast-paced manufacturing environment

· Knowledge of capacity planning and demand forecasting

· Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience

Experience scheduling a high-mix, low volume shop floor.Key Competencies
