Location: Hemlock, MI
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5:45 AM - 3:00 PM
Duration: 6-Month Contract

Overview

We are seeking reliable, punctual, and safety-focused individuals to support daily robot operations within a manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on role where you will monitor autonomous robots, ensure smooth operation throughout the facility, and communicate any issues or observations to the onsite leadership team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys structured, repetitive work, follows processes consistently, and takes pride in showing up every day ready to contribute. No robotics or advanced technical experience is required.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Monitor and support the daily operation of autonomous robots throughout the facility.
  • Perform battery swaps and ensure robots remain operational throughout the shift.
  • Observe robot movement and ensure safe navigation around personnel, equipment, and designated work areas.
  • Stop robot operations if unsafe conditions or unusual behavior are observed.
  • Move robots out of the way when necessary and assist with basic operational troubleshooting.
  • Communicate observations, concerns, and operational feedback to onsite leadership.
  • Follow established processes and safety procedures at all times.
  • Work closely with the Program Manager and Deployment Engineer to support daily operations.
  • Complete basic operational reporting and documentation.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Strong reliability, punctuality, and attendance record.
  • Ability to perform repetitive work consistently throughout the day.
  • Comfortable standing and walking for the majority of the shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Basic computer, tablet, or smartphone proficiency.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to report issues clearly.
  • Good problem-solving skills and common-sense decision-making.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment while following safety procedures.

Work Environment

  • Large manufacturing facility with active production equipment and furnaces.
  • Extensive walking throughout the day.
  • PPE required at all times:
    • Steel-toe boots
    • Safety glasses with side protection
    • Safety vest (provided onsite)
    • Long pants required
