Job Title: Phone Operator

Pay: $15.00–$17.00/hour

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM. Training will be 7:30 AM–4:00 PM or 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch.

Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Addison Group is partnering with a growing healthcare organization to identify a Phone Operator for a busy specialty medical practice. This team is committed to providing a positive patient experience and efficient access to care through responsive and professional administrative support.

Job Description:

The Phone Operator will serve as a primary point of contact for patients, managing incoming calls and assisting with appointment scheduling. This role will also help ensure patient questions and requests are directed to the appropriate staff or department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer a high volume of incoming patient calls with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Schedule and update patient appointments as needed.
  • Listen to patient needs and route questions or requests to the appropriate team.
  • Use internal task-management tools to communicate messages and follow-up items.
  • Provide general assistance and accurate information to patients.
  • Document relevant patient requests and communications within the appropriate systems.
  • Maintain a positive and professional patient experience.
  • Support the team during periods of increased call volume.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a medical receptionist, call center, scheduling, or healthcare customer service role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Prior healthcare or medical office experience preferred.
