Slitter Machine Operators-Cary location
Openings 1st & 2nd shift
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- 18 years of age or older
- 1+ year of any type of machine operator experience where they are doing machine set-up, machine change overs, machine troubleshooting; OR complex motor vehicle repair (personal or professionally) (i.e. taking cars apart, replacing engines or transmissions, etc) is required
- Make and interpret measurements with a standard ruler to 1/16th of an inch (must pass a pre-employment ruler test)
- Physically fit with no restrictions and the ability to lift up to 65 lbs; push, pull, maneuver very large rolls of materials weighing several hundred pounds with the use of equipment on a daily basis. Must be able to squat, bend, crouch, and kneel. Must be able to tolerate chemicals and occasional strong odors. This position will be on their feet for most of their shift.
- Previous ISO experience in a manufacturing or light industrial environment preferred
- Previous lamination, packaging or pharmaceutical industry experience preferred but NOT required, WE WILL TRAIN
Position Info:
- Salary $20 to $22/hr (based on experience and shift)
- Shift –1st shift: 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, M-F
- Also one on 2nd: 2:00pm to 10:30 pm, M-F
- Location – Cary, IL
Responsibilities
:
The Slitting Machine Operator slits material to support press, lamination, and pouch departments, and Customer roll stock business.
You should be proficient in:
- Knowledge of Large Format Graphics
- Packaging Experience
- Automotive Manufacturing Systems
- Shop Math Skills
