Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Power BI & Microsoft Fabric Developer. In this role, you will design, build, and optimize enterprise-scale reporting solutions while leveraging modern cloud architecture and AI-driven development capabilities.
You will work closely with business stakeholders and technical engineering teams to translate complex business requirements into high-performance semantic models, intuitive dashboards, and governed data pipelines using Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and Copilot / GenAI tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Modeling & BI Development: Design and maintain scalable Star Schema and Snowflake data models. Author advanced DAX measures, Power Query (M) transformations, and custom reporting suites in Power BI Desktop and Service.
- Microsoft Fabric Architecture: Build and manage data environments within Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse/Warehouse, Dataflows Gen2, Direct Lake mode), and monitor/optimize Fabric capacity allocation.
- AI-Assisted Engineering: Utilize Microsoft Copilot and AI capabilities within Power BI and Fabric to accelerate DAX generation, automate report creation, and streamline data exploration.
- Data Engineering & Performance Tuning: Write and optimize complex T-SQL queries, views, and stored procedures. Identify and eliminate performance bottlenecks in datasets and visual renders.
- Governance & Security: Implement Row-Level Security (RLS), manage deployment pipelines, configure workspace security, and ensure compliance with enterprise data governance standards.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Gather technical and functional requirements from executive leaders and translate them into actionable BI solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience designing and deploying enterprise Power BI reporting solutions.
- Core BI Skills: Expert-level DAX optimization, Power Query (M), semantic modeling, and Power BI Service administration.
- Microsoft Fabric: Proven experience working inside Microsoft Fabric (Capacity Management, OneLake, Dataflows Gen2, or PySpark integrations).
- AI Integration: Hands-on experience using Microsoft Copilot or Azure OpenAI to assist in DAX authoring, troubleshooting, or visual reporting.
- Data Foundations: Strong SQL proficiency (T-SQL / SQL Server / Azure Synapse) and understanding of cloud data integration patterns.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with experience presenting solutions to executive leadership.

- Microsoft Certifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300)
- Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600)
- Domain Experience: Experience working in large enterprise, healthcare, or financial environments.
