We are currently searching for a detail-oriented CAD Designer to join our team!
The CAD Designer will be responsible for creating, modifying, and maintaining detailed designs, drawings, and models for product, tooling, fixtures, and equipment. This role will have a schedule of Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm with occasional Saturdays depending on operational needs.
Please note: This role is open to local candidates only or candidates that are already in the process of moving to the area as there is no sponsorship or relocation package offered.
Responsibilities
- Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models for components, product, tooling, fixtures, and equipment
- Work closely with Mechanical Engineer to convert design concepts into detailed drawings
- Collaborate with Mechanical Engineer, Process Engineer during design and development phases
- Ensure designs meet customer specifications, company standards, and any regulatory requirements
- Develop and maintain Bills of Material (BOM) for both product and equipment
- Revise drawings and models to incorporate customer engineering changes
- Track drawing revisions and maintain document control requirements
- Support equipment fabrication and installation, validation, and start up activities as needed
- Design and program 3D printer for project requirements
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Drafting, CAD Technology, Mechanical Design, or Engineering Technology degree strongly preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years experience of CAD software in a Manufacturing setting required
- Automotive Industry experience strongly preferred
- Proficient in computer programs including Microsoft Office such as Excel
- Skilled in communication with all levels of an organization and customers/clients
- Highly organized, results driven with great problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task and successfully operate in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
