CNC Machinist

We have an opening for a CNC Machinist position located in Decatur, AL. This is an evaluation-to-hire opportunity with potential for full-time placement.

• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist.

• Experience with Swiss Lathe CNC machining preferred.

• Expertise in Mastercam software for CAD/CAM programming.

• Proficiency in hand programming G-code and M-code.

• In-depth knowledge of Fanuc and Mitsubishi controls.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, engineering plans, and production specifications.

• Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

• Ability to set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machinery.

• Strong mechanical and mathematical skills.

• Ability to use precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.

• Ability to make machine and program adjustments to maintain quality and accuracy.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to work safely and efficiently while meeting production deadlines.

• Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision components according to specifications.

• Operate Swiss Lathe CNC equipment and related machining equipment.

• Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam.

• Write and edit CNC programs using G-code and M-code.

• Work with Fanuc and Mitsubishi CNC controls.

• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work orders, and production specifications.

• Interpret and apply GD&T requirements during machining operations.

• Select and install appropriate tooling for machining processes.

• Adjust machine settings, offsets, feeds, and speeds as needed.

• Measure and inspect finished parts to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality standards.

• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and programming issues.

• Assist with the design and use of jigs, fixtures, multi-part holding devices, and templates to improve production efficiency.

• Make program and machine adjustments to maintain consistent part quality.

• Monitor machine operation and production processes.

• Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in an organized and usable condition.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and requirements.

• Work safely and efficiently to meet production deadlines.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
