Preschool Teacher - Early Childhood Education
Location: The Learning Experience - Jenison, MI
Pay: $17-$21 per hour, based on experience and credentials
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm or 9:30am-6:30pm
The Learning Experience - Jenison is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher to create an engaging classroom where children are excited to learn, explore, create, and grow.
As a Preschool Teacher, you'll help children strengthen their language, independence, friendships, early academic skills, and confidence through purposeful play and hands-on learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily routines and learning experiences in a Preschool classroom
- Implement The Learning Experience's proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum
- Create engaging activities supporting early literacy, math, science, creativity, and social-emotional development
- Encourage independence, communication, problem-solving, and positive peer relationships
- Maintain consistent classroom routines and positive guidance
- Observe children's development and maintain required classroom documentation
- Build strong relationships and communicate regularly with families
- Collaborate with classroom support teachers and center leadership
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized learning environment
- Follow Michigan childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous professional preschool, daycare, childcare, or early childhood experience strongly preferred
- Experience leading or taking ownership of a classroom preferred
- CDA, Early Childhood Education coursework, or related credentials are a plus
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Dependable, nurturing, energetic, and team-oriented
- Ability to meet Michigan childcare licensing requirements
