General Warehouse Associate

Position Summary

The Cross Dock Associate is responsible for efficiently unloading, sorting, and reloading freight in a cross-docking environment to ensure timely and accurate product movement between inbound and outbound shipments. This role plays a key part in maintaining the flow of goods through the facility while upholding safety, accuracy, and productivity standards.

Job Responsibilities:

· Unload inbound trailers and verify freight against bills of lading and shipping manifests.

· Sort and stage freight based on destination, route, or load plan requirements.

· Load outbound trailers accurately and securely to prevent product damage during transport.

· Inspect freight for damage, labeling errors, or discrepancies and report issues promptly.

· Operate material handling equipment (MHE) such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and scanners safely and efficiently.

· Maintain a clean and organized dock area to ensure a safe working environment.

· Collaborate with drivers, dispatchers, and other warehouse staff to ensure smooth dock operations.

· Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

· Assist with inventory control and documentation as needed.

Qualifications

· High school diploma or GED required.

· 1+ year of warehouse, logistics, or cross-dock experience preferred (will train the right candidate).

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.

· Experience with forklifts or pallet jacks (certification a plus).

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

· Good communication skills and teamwork mindset.

· Basic computer or RF scanner proficiency preferred.
